Cape Point and Peninsula Tour

Cape Town

Activity Description

Where do the two oceans meet? And why is it called “the Cape of Good Hope”? Join us on a journey of discovery as we explore the splendour of the Cape Peninsula in Cape Town. We follow the Atlantic Seaboard, past Clifton & Camps Bay, to the fishing hamlet of Hout Bay for an optional boat cruise to Duiker Island to experience thousands of Cape Fur Seals in their natural habitat (own account). We continue along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive to Simon’s Town to meet up with a colony of rare Jackass Penguins at Boulders Beach. You would’ve noticed the bicycles behind the bus by now! we swap four wheels for two to get some fresh air into our lungs and to build up a healthy appetite.

Our legendary scrumptious picnic lunch will then be served somewhere in the reserve… maybe at one of the stunning beaches! Are you brave enough to challenge the Atlantic?
After lunch we hike to the top lighthouse at Cape Point and then to the Cape of Good Hope. Both hikes offer breathtaking vistas and REAL fresh air! We return home via Scarborough and Kommetjie.

Customer Reviews

A really great trip with excellent lunch and entertaining guide. - Deirdre Duffy

We had a great time with DayTrippers in Cape Town. I am not one who particularly likes groups and organized tours, but this was exceptional - well worth the price. A complete experience driving the coast, seeing Seals, biking inside the cape, having a great lunch, hiking the cape, seeing the penguins, and getting a great perspective from our guide at every point. All in a small enough group to really interact with our leader. I definitely recommend this. - Jon Stocksdale

Wonderful tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had A wonderful lunch at the visitor’s center. I highly recommend Daytrippers! - Laurie Wilson

Had a great day tour to Cape point in all aspects: driver that is a tour guide with a lot of knowledge, we visited all the interesting sites as promised, lunch was good, biking An exciting experience. Overall, was great day tour with small group (8 people). I strongly recommend - Moti Zvi

The daytrip to Cape Point was absolutely fantastic. We saw many animals, like baboons, ostrich, eland, dassies and of course the penguins. Apart from everything we saw it was especially Pedro, our guide, who made this day so special. He took care of us answered all our questions and was so much fun. I’ve never had a better tour guide on any of my tours through Australia and Africa! This guy is simply amazing! - Ina Brenk
